Purchase Sony HDR-CX100 AVCHD HD Camcorder with Smile Shutter & 10x Optical Zoom (Black)

People cannot believe how compact this thing is. The standard battery is adequate but if you are going to take advantage of the internal memory and up to 16g's of external memory a bigger battery would be in order. saved $ on this after shopping around extensively. Walmart was $499 and it was $379 here(both new condition). Along with an additional offer from Amazon (I joined [...]) and was able to deduct an additonal hundred dollars, throw in free shipping and I was floored.

Along with this camera I have also purchased several lens & filters. The fish-eye lens and HD quality produces excellent results. Though the camera includes some editing software and has a very limited option on-board, I am using Sony Vegas 9 Pro Platinum edition. This pairs nicely since it allows you to create and burn BluRay discs. This Sony recorder is up for the challenge.
